Lauren Rickman, BA
Lauren Rickman, BA, is a clinical trainee who provides therapy to children, adolescents and families in both English and Spanish in Northfield, Farmington and via telehealth. Lauren graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology and Spanish Studies, and is currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.
Lauren enjoys using person-centered and child-directed play therapy techniques to help her clients process difficult emotions and improve their daily life. Lauren believes all humans have a need to feel heard and therapy can be a safe place for that. Lauren likes to take a collaborative approach with clients and views them as the experts on their own lives.
Lauren is specially trained in diagnostic assessments for children from birth to age five. Lauren embraces diversity and encourages clients to come as they are. Lauren has clinical interests in identity development, attachment, anxiety and depression. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys reading, crafting and spending time with her partner and pup.
