Jennifer (Jenny) Menden, MA

Jenny Menden Therapist

Jenny Menden is a graduate level clinical trainee at Secure Base Counseling Center receiving clinical supervision. Jenny’s therapy style incorporates person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and strength-based approaches. Jenny works to be a welcoming and nurturing therapist where safety and trust are emphasized. She looks forward to working with children, adolescents, adults, and families while at Secure Base Counseling Center.

Jenny enjoys working with all ages. Her work with young children implements attachment and play therapy techniques to foster a safe place to explore current and past life stressors. Therapy at this age will look like play, but regulation strategies and problem-solving techniques are pushed through the child’s natural play language. Jenny’s flexible approach with adolescents allows the hour to be what they need. Therapy may take place in a playroom, therapy room, or a walk in the community. Jenny’s approach with adults is a person-centered, strengths-based, and validating approach rooted in warmth and safety.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, reading, and hiking. She loves being outdoors when it is not too hot and not too buggy.

Jenny is located at the New Prague site and is available for new clients.
