Shannon Ireland, MS
Shannon Ireland, MS, is a clinical intern currently earning her MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis. She is working towards being licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and she has an interest with providing services to individuals, couples, families, and adolescents. Shannon has a passion for helping clients in the LGBTQ+ community, and people that may be struggling with anxiety, depression, and those wanting to improve their family dynamics.
She enjoys using Solution Focused practices to assist clients in meeting their personal short and long term goals. She also enjoys using Narrative therapy and Internal Family Systems methods to guide clients through reframing their stories and healing from their past. Shannon believes therapy is an important part of understanding yourself, and that understanding your past and your relationships are an important step in discovery and change.
Outside of work Shannon loves painting, reading, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
She is available for appointments through telehealth and in person at the Northfield office.
