Sharvika Talwar
Sharvika Talwar is a clinical trainee completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Dakota. She utilizes person-centered therapy but remains flexible, collaborating with clients to adapt her approach as needed. Sharvika believes therapy is a collaborative process where she and the client work together to focus on what is most important to the client. She occasionally incorporates mindfulness exercises and therapy worksheets into her practice. Additionally, she is fluent in both the English and Hindi language, which enhances her ability to communicate effectively and connect with a diverse population.
The core principles of person-centered therapy—empathy, unconditional positive regard, and client autonomy—are central to her approach and are emphasized in all her sessions. She welcomes clients of all ages and backgrounds and is committed to tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs and preferences. She is also enthusiastic about working with international students, drawing from her own experiences as one!
She enjoys painting and singing in her spare time, and values quality time with her loved ones. She also has a strong passion for animal welfare.
