Michelle Iversen

Michelle Iversen, MA, LMFT, CCTP-II is a MN Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level II, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She graduated with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy studies from the University of St. Thomas in 2012 and has been a practicing clinician for over a decade.

Michelle has previously managed outpatient and adolescent residential care programs for people with a wide range of mental health concerns including transitional life challenges, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma. Michelle specializes in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and providing a safe and supportive space for clients exploring gender and sexuality. 

Michelle’s therapeutic approach is rooted in collaboration and personalized treatment for each individual person, couple, or family. She partners closely with clients to uncover their own unique needs and discover the skills that will best support their journey towards growth and fulfillment. Michelle believes therapy is most effective when clients feel a genuine connection with their therapist, experience a sense of empowerment, and feel safe to explore their inner self.  

In addition to offering some therapy, Michelle is also a Clinical Supervisor at Secure Base Counseling Center. She has been a MN Board-Certified LMFT and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) supervisor since 2019. She started work at Secure Base Counseling Center in 2024.

In Michelle’s free time, she enjoys playing with her dog, traveling to new destinations, and being a mom to 2 amazing kids. 

Michelle will be seeing therapy clients in the New Prague office and over telehealth.
