Carolyn Walker, MA, MS, LPCC
Carolyn Walker, MA, MS, LPCC enjoys providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on adolescents.
Carolyn uses a strengths-based approach to therapy helping educate and empower parents, especially on their educational and community resources. She believes treatment of only one part cannot benefit the whole unit.
Carolyn has experience with a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, reactive attachment disorder, crisis management, adoptive and foster parenting issues, school issues, LGBTQI issues, and attachment issues.
She is also trained in trauma-related attachment therapy involving Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems.
Carolyn earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Bethel University and also has a Master’s degree in Special Education. Carolyn currently holds a Licensed Professional Counselor license in Minnesota.
Outside of her work at Secure Base Counseling Center, Carolyn enjoys cooking with her husband, and spending quality time with her adult children and their friends. She also loves to travel to warm places.
