Sarah Suden

Sarah Suden, BSW, is a graduate level intern at Secure Base Counseling Center. She received her bachelors degree in social work with a minor in psychology from the University of South Dakota in 2025 and is currently in her master’s program through the University of South Dakota for social work. Sarah is working towards being an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

Sarah has experience working with children, families, and adults with disabilities. During her bachelor’s level internship, she worked specifically with children experiencing behavioral challenges. Through this process she was able to lead a classroom with therapists performing play therapy. This internship helped guide her to therapy as a large interest, causing her to be placed at Secure Base Counseling Center. Sarah believes in supporting client autonomy and empowerment. Through therapy, she plans to collaborate on treatment goals, focus on client’s strengths, and build trust and safety for all clients.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her significant other, family, friends, and pets. Some hobbies include being in nature, hiking, game nights, and reading.
