Autumn Patterson, BA

Autumn Patterson, Graduate Practicum/Intern Student, is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Winona State University. She is in her first year at Secure Base Counseling Center, where she is gaining clinical experience as a graduate practicum and internship student.

Autumn’s professional experience and interests stem from her education and coursework, including adult and child diagnosis, development across the lifespan, and treatment planning. She is interested in working with individuals across the lifespan, from youth through adulthood, and welcomes the opportunity to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Autumn strives to create an open, affirming, and supportive space for individuals exploring aspects of their identity, including sexual orientation, religion, personal values, and other areas that are meaningful to them.

Autumn is particularly interested in psychoanalytic and attachment-based perspectives and is eager to incorporate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and play therapy into her clinical work. She is open to exploring a variety of areas of practice and looks forward to continuing to grow her knowledge and skills while supporting clients in their individual journeys.

Outside of her work and studies, Autumn enjoys thrifting, painting, and spending time with her friends and partner. She is also a self-described nature enthusiast and loves spending as much time outdoors as possible.
