Secure Base Counseling Center is hiring Clinical Trainees who have a master’s degree in a field of psychology or social work and are on track to become a Licensed Mental Health Professional in the state of Minnesota. Clinical Trainees will receive two hours of weekly supervision from an LMFT or LICSW Board-Certified Supervisor as well as other ongoing training and support.

Part Time and Full Time positions are available!
All positions can be hybrid or 100% in office.

Compensation

Flexibility is what Secure Base Counseling Center prides itself on! One way we offer flexibility and autonomy for our clinicians is through the choice of pay methods.

Compensation Methods:
Clinical trainees are W2 employees. Pay per code clinicians are paid between $35-$45 per client hour, and full-time salaried positions up to $65,000 per year are also available.

 Responsibilities

  • The clinical trainee maintains their therapy client caseload, conducts sessions both virtually and in office, conducts clinical interviews with new clients; writes required diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and case notes. 
  • Maintain a client caseload of all age groups.
  • The clinical trainee receives clinical supervision from a licensed and board approved supervisor at SBCC. This supervision is mandatory for working at SBCC and may be used to fulfill required hours for licensure. 
  • Remain compliant in billing and documentation per SBCC and DHS policy.
  • Complete clinical billing and documentation through our Electronic Health Records system (Procentive)

    Skills

    Successful candidates must:

    • Be enthusiastic about providing service and using their clinical skills

    • Have the ability to establish positive interpersonal relationships among a wide variety of clients

    • Possess strong organizational skills

    • Show a willingness to work from an attachment perspective and with a team approach

    • Experience with Procentive is a plus!
    • High computer literacy

    Freedom to Act

    Employee is generally free to organize and prioritize own job duties, as well as assignments to other support staff, and knows where to refer people for assistance or guidance when necessary – or appropriately follows up to acquire a resolution. Employee works independently and with minimum supervision in carrying out necessary tasks. Employee is able to make decisions and answer questions using written resources such as the Employee Handbook, policy and other resources. In the rare event the Clinical Administrator is not available and the need is urgent, direct contact with the Clinical Director may be sought.
