Kate Glidden, LPCC
Kate Glidden, LPCC, enjoys supporting individuals of all ages and family systems of all forms in reaching their goals for wellbeing.
She employs a relational, person-centered approach to guide the collaborative process of therapy. She has clinical experience working with issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, abuse, ADHD, and behavioral concerns, family conflict, relationship issues, and self-esteem.
Kate specializes in EMDR, an effective trauma therapy to heal patterns of negative self-talk caused by wounds from past emotional or physical distress. She is also specially trained to work with clients from birth to age five. Additionally, she is trained in play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Kate earned her master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Outside of her work at Secure Base, Kate enjoys cultivating an urban garden, engaging in her neighborhood community, and exploring new geographies with her family. She is also an active member of the Minnesota Counseling Association and Minnesota Women in Psychology.
