Kyle Hanson, BS
Kyle Hanson is a Clinical Therapy Intern at Secure Base, currently completing his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. He is guided by the belief that for therapy to be effective, it must be a secure base—a safe, supportive relationship where clients feel empowered to explore their world and find their way forward. Rather than positioning himself as the expert, Kyle acts as a collaborator, walking alongside his clients on their path. He provides therapy to individual adults, children, and families and is deeply committed to creating a warm, respectful, and affirming space for all.
Kyle’s therapeutic approach is flexible and tailored to meet clients wherever they are on their unique journey. For those feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions or navigating a crisis, he provides practical, evidence-based skills from modalities like DBT and CBT to restore stability and control. He also knows that lasting change comes from understanding the “why” behind our struggles. Using an attachment-based and existential lens, Kyle helps clients explore how past experiences shape their present, navigate complex life transitions and end-of-life issues, and build a life of authentic meaning.
Outside of the therapy room, Kyle is a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who finds joy and balance in creating music and reading. He is currently accepting new clients in the Northfield, New Prague, and Farmington offices and looks forward to connecting with you.
