McKenzie Lockhart is a Clinical Trainee at Secure Base Counseling Center, currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She works with individuals, couples, and families, with a specialized focus on tweens/teens, adults, and LGBTQIA+ clients.

McKenzie supports clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, mild eating disorders, mild substance use disorders, childhood trauma, religious trauma or faith deconstruction, and significant life transitions or changes. She is passionate about creating a space where clients feel understood, empowered, and supported in navigating these experiences.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered principles, emphasizing collaboration and genuine connection. McKenzie incorporates a variety of evidence-informed techniques, including play therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help clients strengthen insight, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.

McKenzie offers therapy at the Farmington and Northfield location as well as via telehealth. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and puppy – along with baking, golfing, and reading.
