Olivia Brekkestran, MS
Olivia is currently a Clinical Trainee Intern at Secure Base Counseling Center, on track to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She provides psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and children, using a variety of approaches including solution-focused and strength-based therapy. Olivia sees clients in the Northfield office as well as through telehealth sessions.
Olivia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State University in 2018 and is pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with a specialization in Trauma at Grand Canyon University, with graduation expected in Fall 2025.
Olivia’s professional background includes experience in social work, case management, inpatient chemical dependency treatment, adolescent mental health facilities, and nonprofit youth outreach programs. She has worked with clients ranging in age from 18 months to over 90 years old. Her areas of experience include supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, substance use challenges, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She also has extensive experience working with clients in community-based settings.
Olivia joined Secure Base Counseling Center in July 2025. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two children and their dogs, exploring the outdoors, and visiting local coffee shops. A fun fact about Olivia: she is also a licensed cosmetologist and loves doing hair for family and friends as a hobby.
