Tessa has been in the mental health field since 2017 when she graduated. She has worked as an ARMHS provider, CTSS provider, as an autism center supervisor, and as a case manager. Tessa has been doing outpatient therapy for 3 years. She is also a clinical supervisor for new therapists and interns. Tessa has experience working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, PTSD, addiction, personality disorders, self-esteem, grief, peer relationships, divorce, transitions, interpersonal relationship issues, and spirituality.

Tessa is passionate about holistic care and the mind-body connection, but also meeting the person where they are at in their journey without pushing, but encouraging positive changes or strategies that can help if desired. Tessa enjoys working with individuals of all ages for individual therapy and parent-child therapy. She enjoys and has experience working with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. She believes the therapeutic relationship should be collaborative and goal-oriented and she strives to create a safe, compassionate and respectful space for clients. She uses a variety of therapeutic interventions and tools to create more effective strategies including but not limited to: mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, somatic work, visualization, EMDR, worksheets, music, art and play.

Tessa received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Brandman University and her master’s degree in social work from Walden University. She has received basic training in EMDR, DC 0-5 trained, trained as a clinical supervisor through Mankato State University, and has a health coach certification.
