Bobbi Mathern, MS, LMFT
Bobbi Mathern, MS, LMFT is an Outpatient Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Secure Base Counseling Center. Bobbi provides therapy to individuals, families, and couples in the Northfield office and via Telehealth. Bobbi uses a compassionate, holistic, relational and trauma-informed lens when working with clients. Bobbi meets clients where they are at and utilizes a variety of therapeutic strategies to help them reach their goals. Bobbi’s passion is helping people find peace, grow into their potential, and lead healthy, balanced lives.
Bobbi comes to Secure Base with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working with adults, adolescents, and children over age 7. Most of her experience has been working with adolescents and adults. She has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CAMS (suicide prevention), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, and Family Therapy. She is skilled in helping people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, self-destructive behaviors, relationship distress, adjustment difficulties, grief, Borderline Personality Disorder, and gender related dysphoria.
Bobbi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, earning her Master’s degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2003 and becoming independently licensed in 2007. Bobbi is a Board Approved Supervisor with the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy as well as the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. She has been providing clinical supervision since 2014.
Outside of work, Bobbi enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outside, and exploring new places.
