Vanessa Anderson (she/her), MSW, LGSW. Graduate of Augsburg University’s Masters of Clinical Multicultural Social Work Program in 2023.

Vanessa has worked primarily with young children, youth, young adults, and has also worked with individuals of all ages through various positions while working within different clients’ family systems. Vanessa believes that clients are the experts in how to approach what brings them to the therapy space, and works to keep the therapy space person-centered and focused on individuals, community, and family strengths.

Vanessa has experience utilizing therapeutic techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy while working from an attachment and systems theory perspective. Vanessa’s graduate-level work has been primarily with students, at all levels, helping them develop their goals and strengths within the context of challenging experiences while helping clients explore and develop their sense of self. Above all Vanessa values building a strong therapist-client relationship and supportive connection as this is key to addressing the concerns that bring folks into the therapy setting. 

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys being active with friends and family (including pet dog and horse), reading, crafting, cooking, and spending time serving her community.
