Neuroaffirming Support Services

Secure Base’s Neurodivergent Evaluation and Support Program aims to provide ongoing care to individuals who identify as neurodivergent, regardless of if they have been formally diagnosed or not. Our providers have completed additional education and training related to how neurodivergent brains think, problem solve, and regulate to be able to offer specific strategies to fit your unique needs. Additionally, many of our team members are neurodivergent themselves, having lived experience to better connect and understand you.

Who might be a good candidate for a Neurodivergent Evaluation Process?

Ongoing care services include individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy, and group psychotherapy.  Additional services like rehabilitative care like Children’s Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) or Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services might also be available to you.

Neuroaffirming Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy typically involves you meeting weekly with a therapist to investigate your individual needs.  This often involves looking at your individual sensory and social preferences, identifying triggers, and developing personal accommodations to support your regulation.  The goal with individual psychotherapy is always to help you create the life you want, not change to fit others’ expectations of you!

Neuroaffirming Family Psychotherapy

In family therapy, you can expect to meet weekly with a therapist to explore the unique brain styles, communication patterns, and emotional needs of every family member. This neuroaffirming approach supports family systems in identifying shared values and navigating individual sensory sensitivities or preferences, fostering an environment where all members feel deeply understood. Whether working as a family unit or through couples therapy, the goal is to help you navigate your relationships in a way that respects each person’s internal experience, identifies what is working for the family, and supports the regulation and well-being of the entire system.

Neuroaffirming Group Psychotherapy

Neuroaffirming group therapy offers support and care through multiple collaborative avenues, including groups focused on social skills, emotional regulation, community building, and family support. By connecting with others, participants can gain a better understanding and acceptance of their unique brain styles in a shared environment. This format is designed to foster connection and validation, helping you navigate your personal experiences alongside peers who share an interest in neuroaffirming care and mutual growth.

Secure Base currently offers group therapy through our Neuroaffirming Evaluation and Services Program.  These groups include:
